Solar Magick
This class will include a highly experimental component. Our focus will be on the exploration of solar magick as a means to transform consciousness. Rooted in sacred forces there is a power that is generated in nature. This primordial energy combined with the transformative power of solar magick results in change. Techniques and theory will be taught and then we will enter an experiential component using path working and sound.

Tai Chi & Qigong for Pagans: Fire & Ice, Yin & Yang
Start your Paganicon morning with gentle, energy-building movement! This returning popular workshop will discuss the Chinese conceptualization of Qi -- the life force -- and its relevance to magic, duality, and balance. Participants will learn simple movements to cultivate Qi, which can be adapted to any physical ability and incorporated into personal spiritual and physical practice. The presenter, a certified instructor, can demonstrate Tai Chi forms, including advanced weapons forms, illustrating the principle of extension of Qi such as we do with magical tools (bring your wand or some other tool to practice this with). We will briefly address concerns about cultural appropriation, and resources for further practice will be provided.

Ecstatic Singing
Join Doe, Max, Teri, Song, and Galen from the Upper Mississippi River Reclaiming community in an exploration of ecstatic singing and movement. This will be co-created group singing, which may include sharing chants and songs, improvising music and sound, movement, play, silliness, and connection. Our intention is to sing and vocalize together in ways that feed magic (in general and also the Fire and Ice magic of Paganicon 2018), create ecstatic energy, and celebrate ourselves and all life. You do not need to be a "good singer" or be able to read music! Just come, make joyful sound together, play, and just BE.

Magick in the Paranormal
How to work with ancestors, spirits and guides in the age of technology.
Just as we can use science to help explain some magickal phenomena, we can use technology to help us experience that magick. The energy that is used in rituals and magick can be measured using the same technology that paranormal investigators use. And many of the beliefs and practices of Paganism can be carried over into paranormal investigation. Join Rev. Emily, a Wiccan high priestess and paranormal investigator, as we discuss the boundary between these two ideas, and how taking a balanced approach can strengthen your spiritual beliefs.
